2010 Art of Physics Competition

| |
The challenge is to capture photographically a beautiful or unusual physics phenomenon and explain it in less than 200 words in terms that everyone can understand.
CAP is currently accepting entries in three categories of competition:
  1. students up to high school/CEGEP graduation;
  2. High School/CEGEP Class projects - Teachers may submit only the top entry for each project/topic, and
  3. open (industrial and government establishments and commercially-funded research, universities, community colleges, charity-funded research programmes, teachers, laypersons, others).

Entries must be original artwork created by the participant. The deadline for the current competition is April 15, 2010.
The entry fee is $5 for category 1, $10 for category 2 and $10 for category 3.
Because of the required support material for entries, online nominations are not a viable option. Please download the Entry Form (pdf format), print, and complete the entry form accordingly, and then mail it to the CAP with your entry and fee.
All entrants of the competition also have the chance to have their entries included in an Art of Physics exhibition. All the entries which were received are kept on file and may appear at a future date as a cover for Physics in Canada.
